Hermitage of Blessed Salomea

Highlight • Religious Site

Considered one of the most interesting architectural and landscape places in Poland from the 17th century, but its history dates back to the Middle Ages.

Salomea was the sister of Bolesław the Chaste, who gave her Grodzisko with other villages in the 13th century.

At the back of the building are three chapels in caves - very beautiful. And in front of them an obelisk on the back of an elephant (!) - erected at the end of the 17th century in honor of Jan III Sobieski's victory at Vienna.

Lots of history!
