Hiking
This circular hike begins at the parking lot at the eastern end of Les Rasses; alternatively, you can take the bus to the village center. From here, the trail climbs steadily through rolling Jura hills to the summit of Chasseron at 1,607 meters. Once at the top, an impressive panorama opens up: the peaks of the Alps stretch in the distance, while to the west, the view stretches far across the rolling Jura hills to France.
The Restaurant du Chasseron, located at the same altitude, offers a well-deserved break with regional specialties and a wonderful sun terrace. Those who wish can stay overnight and experience the magical moment when the first rays of sunlight bathe the Alpine chain in golden light.
The return route first leads across open pastures and then gently downhill through forests and meadows. Along the way, you'll pass the small village of Les Cluds. Here, you can enjoy the peace and quiet before the trail finally takes you back to Les Rasses.
