Cycling around Lac du Der

The lake tour route aptly lives up to its name, as it follows the greenway that literally follows the contours of the lake. This makes for a charming walk, where the blue of the lake and the green of the surrounding area are inseparable, creating stunning landscapes.

This loop, both fun and educational, embodies the ultimate family adventure. In a preserved natural setting, you can observe the lake's wildlife from the bird observatory and discover the history of the lake and the Champagne plains at the Der Museum. You'll also have plenty of opportunities to have fun in the various playgrounds and swim at one of the small beaches along the lake.

Logistically speaking, we recommend starting your loop from Giffaumont-Champaubert, which has a very large and easily accessible parking lot. Furthermore, you'll find numerous accommodation options all around the lake, from campsites to lodges and B&Bs.
