Hiking
High up at 2,100 meters, the Metschstand circular trail offers an impressive panorama with sweeping views over the Simmental Valley and as far as the Plaine Morte Glacier. The ascent in the gondola is an experience in itself, with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Once at the top, the varied circular tour begins across blooming alpine meadows and rolling hills. A relaxing hike suitable for all fitness levels awaits you.
The first highlight is the Bummere Pass, where you cross the border between Lenk and Adelboden and enjoy magnificent views on both sides. The trail continues to the Blatti Hut, where you'll encounter the Vogellisi sculpture – a homage to the famous Bernese Oberland legend. Then, the Brenggen reservoir catches your eye: Depending on the light, the water shimmers in a fascinating turquoise, forming a stark contrast to the alpine landscape.
Finally, the trail leads in a small loop over the Schattwy back to the mountain station. Here you can enjoy the view once again or round off the tour with a fast ride in a mountain cart down to the middle station.
