Mountain biking

Originally built for the 1988 Winter Olympics, the Canmore Nordic Centre offers a diverse network of trails – here you'll find routes for mountain biking, fat biking, and even some recumbent bikes. This tour along trails with the intoxicating names EKG and Odyssey will take you on a very special loop.

Start at the central parking lot of the Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park. A few short feeder trails will take you over to the East EKG Trail. After a steep climb, you'll start pedaling and continue north, where the relatively new Odyssey Trail joins. It'll cruise through curves that will put a smile on your face.

After this flowing section, the route continues to the western side of the EKG Trail. It's worth stopping for breathtaking views across the valley to the towering peaks of the Fairholm Mountain Range. Focused on the trail again, you roll back to the starting point on a gentle slope.
