This route was planned by komoot.
Some river crossings had to be mastered
A restricted gravel road leads to the upper car park and there is a barrier that seems to block the road from time to time! From the lower car park approx. 2 hours longer tour. Overall, the path is very easy to walk. The river crossings can be a bit difficult for the timid or inexperienced hiker.
A beautiful walk to see the Alta canyon
Beautiful route was a beautiful trip well worth it
Access to parking lot via gravel road. If the barrier is up, then passage is permitted
We started the tour above the Gargia Lodge. A gravel path that can be easily managed with normal cars leads to the hiking car park. The hike is easy to do with children, but please bring hiking boots. A few small rivers have to be crossed over stones and wooden boards. The view into the canyon is simply magnificent after a steep descent. If you can, you should take a drone with you to take spectacular pictures. There is enough water along the way (July) to refill from rivers. Have fun hiking!
