On the forest route you will explore ancient burial mounds, medieval monastery ruins, lots of picturesque nature and the highest elevation in the Altes Land, the 65-meter-high Litberg.
It starts in Apensen. After around 15 kilometers you reach Harsefeld, where you can admire the beautiful monastery park. The route continues through the Braken forest area to Sauensiek. Here you cycle directly past a beautiful natural outdoor pool, which promises a welcome cooling off on warm summer days.
The route then takes you to the Litberg. Park your bike and climb the observation tower, which offers a fantastic view over the Altes Land. If the visibility is clear, you can even see the Hamburg TV tower. After you have enjoyed the view, you return to the starting point via Goldbeck and Nindorf.

Today we went through the woods near Harsefeld. Beautiful paved forest paths 👍Sometimes gravel paths and asphalted farm roads.A route that is easy to drive 🚴♀️🚵♀️
Parking in Sauensiek, e.g. at the kindergarten. Coffee break at the Hillert bakery in Harsefeld. We pushed our bikes through the great city center of Buxtehude, but we certainly didn't see all the highlights. Beautiful autumn tour through the Stade district.
Today I was on the forest route in the district of Stade. A tour I can recommend. I drove them back differently from Harsefeld. The original route is also very beautiful.
