It was my second day hiking with my children at Terhills, the Nation Park Hoge Kempen. We followed the yellow route, which had some steep climbs at the beginning. I'm surprised it has more meters than yesterday in the Ardennes. Very beautiful natuur. It was a pity that there were a lot of visitors, especially on top of the terrils. …

A somewhat longer but beautiful nature walk with three climbs. This tour passes beautiful views, winding forest paths, the tops of terrils and nice resting places along the water. After such a beautiful walk you can also enjoy a delicious Belgian beer.

Superb hike on this sunny afternoon. We extended the purple walk departing from the Maasmechelen tourist office. Despite 2 route errors which took us along a fast road and through an adorable holiday village. We recommend this national park.

Very nice tour. In parts it is steep uphill so you have to be in shape for this tour.
