A three-peak hike sounds exciting! So, we and our friends are ready and eager to conquer the peaks.

We start our tour in the morning, actually with a bit of sunshine.

The trails became increasingly adventurous, as we constantly had to overcome fallen trees or streams.

Bad weather reports can't deter us - and then they were right.
The starting point of our hike over three peaks was in Fehrenberg. First via Heubach and Schnett up to Simmersberg. The youth hostel was barely visible in the fog. Continue to Höheberg in a former forest, now lunar landscape and then a very beautiful path (Gießübler Schweiz), with …

There were several reasons for this particular hike. The Werra is our "home river" and we often travel down it in a folding boat. We have already been to Masserberg for running and mountain biking and we once spent a weekend in Schnett with our dance friends. The Thuringian Forest is a real gem for hiking. Do we need any …

In golden October weather 🍂🍁☀️ with a "run-up" through Gießübler Switzerland: Fehrenbacher Switzerland - Werraquell Hut - Dreiherrenstein - Rennsteigwarte - Schillerhöhe - Ersteberg ski slope - Langertfelsen - Nadelöhr - Schröderfelsen - Dachsbach waterfall - Heubach - Fehrenbach

Always following the motto, there is no such thing as bad weather, we start our tour in the morning in Masserberg on the Rennsteig.
We really wanted to walk or crawl through the advertised eye of the needle 😉. Because whoever goes through the eye of the needle can make a wish.......
Our tour was described as very difficult and …
