Pack your swimming trunks, sit on your bike and off to the lake! This relaxed round tour starting in Hipoltstein takes you to the beautiful Rothsee. The route is only 20 kilometers long and runs on a flat route - leaving more time for swimming.
It starts at the parking lot in Badstrasse in Hilpoltstein. You leave the place and drive on a great bike path to the Main-Danube Canal. Maybe you will see some ships at the lock that are traveling on the 171 km long federal waterway. Then you cross the canal and soon reach the shore of the Rothsee.
The path leads you along the south-east bank of the reservoir. On the way you will always come across great swimming spots or refreshment stops. Find a cozy spot for an extensive break. If you feel like it, can you exchange your bike for a while for a surfboard or a boat?
Then it goes on to the beautiful Allersberg. In the village you turn and cycle past fields and meadows back to Hipoltstein. When you arrive at the destination, you will find several places to stop for a bite to eat or you can take a turn around the city pond.
