Hiking
Where the lake meets the dense forests, the reflections in the water are simply magical. You can enjoy endless lake views and fantastic forest trails around the Lac-de-L'Assomption in the east of Mont-Tremblant National Park.
You’ll start your hike at Grand-Pin campsite before heading towards Lac à la Baie Ronde. Next, continue through the forest to the shores of Lac-de-L'Assomption. This is a wonderful place for a picnic, surrounded by nature. The national park, which covers an area of over 1,500 square kilometres (580 square miles), is home to Canadian herons, deer and moose.
The starting point is around two and a half hours by car from the Montréal city centre. The entrance fee to the park is around ten Canadian dollars.
