Hiking
Surrounded by the wilderness of Prince Albert National Park, the Narrows Peninsula Trail is a delight – a journey through the vast beauty of Saskatchewan.
As you hike through the dense balsam fir forest, an unexpected sight awaits: a huge bed of ostrich ferns in full early summer splendour. It'll feel as though you're walking through a prehistoric garden. The path winds on and then, suddenly, Waskesiu Lake comes into view. A wooden footbridge leads to a hidden beach, the perfect place to pause and enjoy the serenity. If you close your eyes, you can almost hear the stories of the fur traders and indigenous people who once inhabited the area.
The Narrows Peninsula Trail is an invitation to touch the past, feel the present and experience the timeless beauty of Canadian nature.
