Despite the boring stretch at the beginning and again at the end, the stamp loop is worthwhile thanks to the monastery. However, if I were to do it again, I wouldn't do the loop at the sewage treatment plant and would rather see how the route leads along the railway line into the city.

From the parking lot we make our way out of Stadtoldendorf. The actual circular route begins at the memorial stone for a crashed British pilot. We finally reach the monastery via natural paths and paths with wide views of the Vogler, which is announced by an impressive monastery wall.

Our monthly hike with friends went from Stadtoldendorf on the monastery tour to Amelungsborn Monastery. Here we were able to visit the monastery grounds with garden, pond and church.
We had a break at the Hooptalhütte for lunch. This was followed by a short tour of Stadtallendorf before we went back for a cozy evening together.
