This route was planned by komoot.
A very nice tour, unfortunately a lot of asphalt and there could be more benches on the second half.
There are 17 information boards along the well-signposted path that provide a lot of information about beer and the production process. Be sure to stop at the beer garden at Ratzenhofen Castle halfway through. The path itself leads over large parts of tarred paths/roads, and then towards the end there is a longer section over field/forest paths. Very worthwhile route.
That sounds good, I thought to myself, before the hops were completely removed, and off we went. There was a liter of tea and nothing else. I started out assuming that on such a 15-kilometre-long path - with 17 display boards about hops and beer - they would certainly have included one or two places for tasting in the program.... Rather not. And the two inns are only open on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. And the path had a total of 4 benches. Well, on the piece next to the sewage treatment plant and also on the main road you don't need it anyway. But the ice cream parlor in Mainburg had replaced my entire lunch with 3 scoops of ice cream and I could lick that on the way. Today it was slightly cloudy and quite humid, so that the mosquitoes on the Abens were really happy with me when I washed the ice that had fallen off my hands (because either the weather was too warm or I was eating too slowly). . The snack and beer are then available at home!
Actually we wanted to go to Mainburg with the 9€ ticket today. But unfortunately the bus connection from Freising to Mainburg is quite limited on Sundays and public holidays. I can recommend the adventure trail with reservations. The first stretch leads through the industrial area of Mainburg and past the sewage treatment plant. After that it gets better. But unfortunately many paved paths and along roads. I can recommend the Theresienhütte for a stop at the end of the circular route. However, they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. We parked at the cemetery. Experience has shown that there are always enough free parking spaces at cemeteries and usually also public toilets.
