This route was planned by komoot.
Another great round with Bayer trips around the Chiemsee. The weather couldn't have been better.
On the last day of our vacation, we wanted to circle Lake Chiemsee again and take the Chiemseebahn in Prien. A great story...
A lap around Lake Chiemsee in the best weather. There are plenty of places to stop for a break. There is something for everyone. We were a little off the route in Breitbrunn at the "Gasthaus zur Post". A lovely beer garden and a good selection of food and drinks invited us to take a break...🙂
Very nice tour around the lake except for the section next to the A8 riddled with potholes H2O lido ideal for families but poor route signage, otherwise you can also take the tour without a navigation system Super signage
Today went differently than planned! So I started with the trekking bike and actually no goal at all. While I was rolling in the direction of Bernau with a view of the Chiemsee, I had the first idea of driving an unknown stretch of the Chiemsee in the direction of Chieming. The further I drove, the more I thought of going around the lake. But it shouldn't take too much time either. A quick estimate of the route length should be done in about three hours. So go ahead and get it done! On the circumnavigation you will pass some very nice places to swim or enjoy the view. With a little more time in your luggage, you should take a few breaks here. But I'm a bit disappointed with the basic route! Because the cycle path leads in many places far away from the lake and past roads or the motorway! The sections near the shore are mostly nice and quiet. Due to the great views of the lake and the Chiemgau Alps, the round is still recommended. Also recommended because of the great bathing opportunities on lonely shore areas
Very frequented by cyclists and pedestrians during the holiday season
Once a year around the Chiemsee is a must :). Great parking lot directly at the seaside resort! after cycling - into the lake and food is also provided (beach restaurant)
