Unfortunately, the parking options in Rheine are not that great.
It is definitely worth taking a look at the well-kept Surenburg Castle.

Via Hörstel to Gravenhorst Abbey. Short mountain classification and then to the wet triangle. Through Bevergern to Surenburg Castle. From there in the direction of Rheine and a coffee break at the Voss bakery. Along the Ems through Rheine and then back to the starting point.
