Hiking

The Paznaun is an ideal starting point for various mountain groups. Samnaun, Verwall, and Silvretta are easily accessible, and day tours from the valley are just as possible as multi-day round tours. The scattered settlement of See, located at an altitude of 1,150 meters, lies on the right side of the valley. It consists of a large number of farm groups or hamlets.

This beautiful circular hiking trail offers an excellent view of the sunny side of the Unterpaznaun with the Verwall group. You can comfortably reach the Medrigalm at an altitude of 1,800 meters by cable car. You hike along a forest path to the Ascherhütte, which towers high above See at an altitude of 2,256 meters and serves as an ideal resting place with an impressive mountain panorama – for example, of the Blankakopf or the Rotpleiskopf.

The descent is comfortable, passing the Versingalm (managed alpine pasture) on the wide, accessible road (suitable for strollers) to the Medrigalm, from where you can easily return to See by cable car or on foot. Once at the bottom, you can treat yourself to a well-deserved refreshment in the local swimming lake.

Versingalm

Highlight • Mountain Hut

The cozy Versing Alm blends perfectly into the Paznaun mountain world and is a popular destination for young and old. On a leisurely hike from the Medrigalm mountain station, you can reach the Versingalm, located at 1,900 meters, in about 45 minutes. Since the wide path is relatively flat, it is also well suited for a tour with a stroller. Once at the top, you can fortify yourself with homemade specialties such as the flavorful Paznaun alpine cheese or a fresh glass of milk. The petting zoo with an adjoining playground is particularly popular with children, where little and slightly older mountaineers get their money's worth.

The See water park promises pure bathing fun. Swimming and splashing against the breathtaking backdrop of the Paznaun mountain world – what could be better? With an area of around 7,000 square meters and a depth of five meters, it provides sufficient cooling on hot summer days. Thanks to numerous reed regeneration areas and groundwater supply, the lake also boasts excellent water quality.

The park is surrounded by the picturesque scenery of the Tyrolean mountains. Thanks to its location in the middle of the village center of See, you can easily reach the area. The park is open daily in summer, so nothing stands in the way of your bathing fun after a day in the mountains.
