Hiking
The Diedamskopfbahn cable car allows you to embark on this impressive mountain hike, which connects two particularly scenic peaks.
Your starting point is the parking lot at the valley station, from where you take the cable car up to the middle station. The first half of the tour is almost flat, crossing expansive alpine meadows, past the idyllically situated huts of the Breitenalpe and Falzalpe. The Neuhornbachhaus, a fully-serviced inn, offers an ideal place to stop for a refreshment – the perfect place to fortify yourself with regional specialties for the more challenging second part of the hike.
From the Neuhornbachjoch, you now climb steeply to the summit of the Falzer Kopf. The climb is rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the area around the Hohen Ifen. The slightly lower forepeak also offers impressive views and invites you to linger.
A short descent then takes you to the Kreuzle, a historic pass crossing into the Kleinwalsertal valley. From there, you follow the scenic mountain ridge and the plateau circular path over to the Diedamskopf. Enjoy magnificent views once more before returning to the mountain station and taking a leisurely gondola ride down into the valley.
