With this Tour you walk constantly at 2,000 meters above sea level and just above among breathtaking landscapes and lush nature.
Start from Paion del Cermis which you can reach with the ski lifts from Cavalese or from the station between the town of Masi di Cavalese and the Cascata area. In both places you can find parking.
As soon as you leave the lifts you can enjoy a splendid 360° panorama. You can see the Marmolada, the Pale di San Martino, the Brenta Dolomites, the Cevedale and the Ortles group, the Ötztal Alps, the Sassolungo and the Sella. You start walking following the signs for the Bombasel lakes on path 3 which is quite wide, beaten and with a slight difference in altitude.
Once you reach the Bombasel (or Macaco) fork, the panorama overlooks the main basin of the Bombasel lakes. From here, you come across the only stretch where the path is impervious. The passage is short, equipped with a fixed rope and steps, without gaps or overhangs, but it is always good to wear suitable footwear.
Continue south to reach the three small but evocative lakes of Bombasel, nestled in the wild nature and offering a spectacular view of the Dolomites.
This is a perfect spot to enjoy a well-deserved break before returning to the starting point on the outward route.
