Hiking
This is an exciting summit hike that goes steeply uphill, but thanks to a cable car, doesn't require you to climb too many meters in altitude. The hiking trails are narrow and sometimes a bit rocky, with a short passage secured with a rope. The tour is also suitable for families with slightly older children.
The starting point is at the Harschbichl mountain station, which you can reach from St. Johann in Tirol. The hike goes uphill in steep bends to the rocks below the summit. Where the path narrows along the steep slope, a steel cable is attached. The section that leads through an impressive rock gate is particularly special. At the top, in addition to the fantastic view from the summit, an alpine flower garden and a place to stop for a break await you.
The descent takes you along the ridge. With a bit of luck, you can see marmots here. The last section back to the cable car on the Jägersteig is almost flat.

From the Harschbichl mountain station, the first climb was on the Jägersteig with a moderate incline on the imposing Horn. The view was gigantic, both on the Horn and on the surrounding pastures and mountains. After a good kilometer it went up steeply over a cow pasture. We even spotted a marmot on the way.
