Embark on a nine-kilometer journey through time on the "Old Post Route" in the climatic health resort of Tengen. Since 1561, messengers have used this route to send messages from Engen to Alsace.

Start at the Old Post Route Hut and enjoy breathtaking views over the Hegau to the Alps. At the Haseln lookout point, you can look out over the district border.

The Napoleonseck commemorates a battle between the French and Austrians in 1800. The Himmelsliege invites you to linger.

Continue to the Maienbohl with a wonderful Hegau panorama and the unforested Bisberg with a panoramic view. Discover the Biberquelle, whose water flows into the Rhine.

After about two and a half hours, you return to the starting point, where a barbecue area invites you to take a rest. Experience the landscape and history of the Old Post Route!

Today on the "old post route" in Hegau. Had a brilliant view of the Alps. From the Napoleonseck we had unique views of Lake Constance. All round a successful tour.

Round with mostly gusty wind and drizzle on the "Alten Postweg" and on the Bisberg from WP Watterdingen. Visibility was rather modest due to the weather conditions, at least the Hegau mountains were clearly visible at the beginning. The round was fun anyway.
