In my opinion, the lake is one of the most beautiful in the Dolomites. However, bathing is only for the toughest. The campsite restaurant has a delicious Calzone pizza!

Today an easy short tour without rain. Unfortunately the Dolomites were mostly behind fields of clouds

A dream came true 🤩 My wife and I are on our tandem bike since today, from the 3 Zinnen to the 1000 bridges - from Toblach to Venice 😀 Today's first stage from Toblach to Cortina d'Ampezzo fascinated us ⛰️ Cycling between the impressive mountains was an experience for us, we were totally blown away 🤩🤩 Tomorrow we'll head off to Belluno 💪🏽

Enjoyed wonderful landscapes. Not that far but mega.

What would a bike tour here be without rain...? This question is written all over our faces. Well, like every morning, we think to ourselves, there's no point in trying, and we head off into the mountains and forest. A great gravel path, but easy to ride on, accompanies us the entire way. We cycle past the Three Peaks, but can only glimpse them due to the weather. The path leads us through the Gemerk up to our highest point of the entire trip at 1530m, where cappuccino, pasta, and fries await us. From now on, it's all downhill to Cortina d'Ampezzo, and the weather also changes direction, giving us a few rays of sunshine as we head into town.

To warm up, a short stage on the route of the former Dolomite railway. Regular, not too steep ascent; but a little more than 300 meters in altitude are manageable. Fantastic vantage points and a wildly romantic rock scenery - wonderful! We are already in Cortina at noon and still have enough time to see the city.

We drive along the well-developed former railway line to Cortina, a nice little town geared towards ski tourism. Again and again, beautiful views of the Dolomites beckon. Unfortunately, the old train stations along the route are falling into disrepair.

Mega bike tour on wide gravel roads along an old railway line. It also went through 2 old tunnels

The tour below is an absolute highlight. It was cold (2 jackets downhill) but dry and sunny.
