Three Peaks Nature Park and Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage: The destination of a bike tour couldn't be more rewarding in terms of scenery. Although the tour is not very long, there are a few meters of elevation to climb. You can return the same way and let your bike roll nicely downhill.
You start in Innichen at the train station and cycle past the town center into the countryside. A gravel path through the forest, which is also used by hikers, takes you to the town of Sexten, which is surrounded by striking Dolomite peaks. Once you have reached the town after a bit of effort, you cycle across lush green meadows towards Moos and see the "Sexten sundial" in front of you - an impressive mountain range, on whose summit the time can be read depending on the position of the sun. At the Rotwand cable car you can choose to take the gondola up to the Rotwand meadows, or continue to follow the Fischleintal valley on your bike.
To really enjoy the mountain nature of the Dolomites, cycle through the larch meadows to the end of the valley. At the Talschlusshütte you can not only charge your e-bike, but also admire the peaks up close.
Tip for enduro mountain bikers: You can let off steam around Sexten on two single trails with natural and partly paved surfaces: Erla and Standschützen trails. To get started, take the Drei Zinnen and Rotwand cable cars.
Recommended bike types: gravel bike, MTB or a well-geared trekking or touring bike with a tire width of at least 32 mm.
