The route takes you through the Almindingen forest. Go through the valley, Ekkodalen, and up the steep stairs into the forest on the opposite side. Then follow the blue markings on mostly wide forest paths until you see the iconic tower, Rytterknægten, on the horizon. This is Bornholm's highest point, 162 meters above sea level.
The path is in relatively good condition and leads primarily over wooden walkways. You can park at Ekkodalshuset or Rytterknægten.
