With this tour we take you to discover the suggestive Flower Path: an equipped route in the Adamello-Presanella group. During the Great War, this path was the entrenchment route for Italian soldiers to connect the positions on the ridge.
The starting point is Passo Paradiso which you can reach with the chairlift of the same name after leaving your car at the Passo del Tonale car park.
Walk towards Lake Monticello after which you take the SAT 44 path which, overcoming rocky jumps, leads you to the start of the via ferrata. Shortly after, you come across two metal bridges 75 and 55 meters long respectively, but if you prefer to avoid them you can follow the 67 meter long tunnel dug into the rock.
The via ferrata ends at the Lagoscuro pass where, during the First World War, there was a real military village of which the remains are still visible. Continue along the SAT 209 path which climbs up to the Presena pass. For the return you can take the lifts that take you back to the starting point.
The itinerary develops at high altitude and includes sections of via ferrata: we therefore suggest that you wear suitable clothing, have mountaineering equipment with you and check the weather forecast, always taking into account the suddenness with which the conditions change in these altitudes.
