The first climb is still difficult in early March due to remnants of snow and ice. It is easy to avoid this climb via the main road we took on the way back. The Sigmund Thun Klamm gorge is closed in winter.
It was probably the right decision to enter such a tourist highlight an hour before the ticket office closed. So you could watch the roaring water in peace. In stark contrast to this is an idyllic walk around the Klammsee.
An afternoon of drizzle 🌧️ took us to the Sigmund Thun Gorge. Entry with the Kaprun Summer Card is included. A beautiful, chilled hiking trail, very attractively designed and worth seeing around every corner. The subsequent circular route around the Klammsee without a big incline along the bank was great and in summer 😉or without rain ☀️🌊 you can pack your swimming trunks 🩳☀️🏔️... simply worth seeing and relaxing 👍
Suitable for everyone. Beautiful nature. There is also a path for bicycles. 👍🌸☀️
Because of the high altitude and the extreme sun yesterday, we took it easy today.
Small but nice gorge tour with circumnavigation of the adjacent reservoir. At the end of the lake there is a slightly larger kiosk with snacks and trout. Even in bad weather (you get wet in the gorge anyway) it's easy to do.
What can I say....in theory it's one of the most beautiful gorges I know, but!! Meanwhile one of the most commercial!! Here the bus groups are dumped and the masses roll up and then around the beautiful mountain lakes. 6 years ago I was there exactly on the same day and we were alone!!!!!! there. The tourists leave their rubbish and act like ××××!!! You can do it, but you don't have to... unfortunately..or. maybe outside the summer season.
