Entrevernes climb

This route offers a beautiful climb above Lake Annecy in the heart of a green valley.
The route, a round trip, can be done as a complement to the tour of the lake or be sufficient in itself. Some cyclists like to tackle the clock there, while others prefer a pleasant pace to discover the surroundings of Entrevernes.

The start is near Duingt. Located on the lakefront, this town is an ideal departure and arrival point. After just a few kilometers, the route passes very close to the Château d’Héré. This old fortified house stands proudly overlooking the lake.

A gradual climb then begins. It begins with a few large hairpins which open the doors to the valley. Behind you, the view of the lake becomes spectacular. The small town of Entrevernes is located approximately halfway through the ascent. Its atypical houses and barns give it a certain charm.

The last portion of the climb takes place in a remarkable setting. The road winds through the hollow of the valley before ending in a dead end. Savor the landscapes that await you at the end of a climb of around ten kilometers before returning to the starting point by descending on the same road. At the end, Duingt beach offers a great swimming opportunity to cool off and recover from your efforts.
