Hiking

Olympic National Park is bursting with natural beauty: dramatic coastline, towering peaks and dense forests. Here we have picked out a short hike that takes you deep into the rainforest of the Pacific Northwest: the Hoh Rain Forest. You walk over three and a half kilometers in two different loops that provide you with unique impressions.

You will find a parking space for your car directly at the trailhead. The first shorter loop takes you over the Hall of Mosses Trail. You hike through lush green vegetation with tall trees and lush ferns. Due to the high humidity and regular rain, the trees are covered in layers of moss. The so-called Spanish Moss hangs picturesquely from the branches and perfects the rainforest flair.

The subsequent round lets you explore impressively large spruce trees that have found their niche in the rainforest and tower over everything around them. Everything around you seems green: the trees, the soil, even the small streams. After this lovely excursion, the tour ends back at the parking lot.
