Lures to bathing and jumping, - but be careful, in the upper pools are strong whirlpools. Two men drowned this week.

The path is a great alternative parallel to the road. I find the information boards very helpful. The path is shady and informative.

October 3, 2024,Von Steibis zu den Buchenegger Wasserfällen 🌦️
Today we arrived in Steibis, and since it hasn't rained yet, we went on a tour to the waterfalls 👍.
The paths are all easy, except for the descent to the waterfalls, where you have to be a bit careful when it's wet.
On the way back we had a delicious soup at Alpen Neugreuth😋.
It's supposed to rain tomorrow …

Actually it was just supposed to be a first little local exploration. And then suddenly there was “Buchenegger Wasserfall” 1/2 hour. Only? Well then... head down to the waterfall 😃.

The roar announces him... and then suddenly I'm standing in front of him... The water is crystal clear and looks turquoise green. After a few moments of looking and enjoying, …

As already mentioned in the previous tour publication (Runde zum Drei-Länder-Blick), I started this tour today - at the start of my vacation - immediately afterwards - and only just managed to finish it. Keyword: "Pulse sometimes at its limit and at the end also a fight against calf and thigh cramps 🥵". After several months of Komoot winter break, …

I stole the tour 1:1 from @KISS. It was a wonderful tour. The landscape is unique and the waterfalls were amazing.

The last part of the descent/ascent to the waterfall is very muddy and slippery. There are also a lot of hikers on the way, which doesn't make it any easier to move along this section. The rest of the route is not as crowded, as there are different entrances and the paths are also wider.

You should check out the Buchenegger waterfalls if you are nearby! Good sure-footedness is absolutely necessary when descending steeply and then ascending again over hill and dale. Hiking poles are also helpful.

At Alpe Neugreuth you can fortify yourself with simple but delicious food (and drinks, of course) - stopping here is highly recommended!

Today, a little more relaxed than yesterday, we went to Steibis in Oberstaufen to do a tour of the Buchenegger waterfalls. It was a varied round with beautiful views, a cozy alp and the waterfalls as a highlight. 🤩

Nice tour from Steibis to the Buchenegger waterfalls and back.

Easy path to walk, a bit muddy in places, but otherwise well developed.

Various options for refreshments, but the alp closes at around 5 p.m. But afterwards there are various places to stop for refreshments in Steibis.
