Zürisee Ultimate

Zürisee Ultimate is the best tour around Lake Zurich that you can drive. It offers magnificent views on both shores of the lake and sections of the route that are unexpected for locals. And of course there should be at least one incline that will make you really sweat.

The route takes you out of the city on neighborhood streets and you will soon reach the back of the Pfannenstiel and make your way towards Rapperswil at the upper end of Lake Zurich. After the turning point, it's time to get down to business! The climb from Altendorf to the Etzel can rival many an Alpine pass and will remain in your memory and in your bones for a long time - but so will the panorama that it offers. On the Etzel Pass, a break at the St. Meinrad Inn is almost mandatory. The menu offers sweet, savory and seasonal and regional specialties and a foresight that is second to none.

After you have reached the highlight of the round, you head back towards Zurich at a rapid pace. If you are already losing strength here, you can skip the final climb up the Buchenegg and follow the Sihl from Langnau to the city center.
