Neukirchen: Seebachsee nature trail

This circular hike goes from the enchanting Obersulzbachtal up to the crystal-clear Seebachsee - inviting alpine pastures further sweeten the route. You start at the Hopffeldboden car park, from where you follow a wide gravel path along the Obersulzbach.

In many switchbacks you then climb up from the valley to the tranquil Seebachalm. Cows graze on the lush alpine pastures, behind them rise the mighty peaks of the Hütteltalkopf and its neighbors. At one of the huts you will find chilled drinks in the fountain. Following the Seebach you reach the mountain lake of the same name with its crystal clear water.

Back at the Seebachalm, this time you keep to the right and descend steeply to the Foißbachfall. Back in the Obersulzbachtal, the last section is relaxed again on a steadily sloping gravel path that takes you past the cozy Berndlalm. After a well-deserved stop, we return to the starting point with a view of the impressive Seebach Falls.
