If you love desert trails, you should pay a visit to Phil's World near Cortez. The carefully maintained trails are designed specifically for mountain bikers and are sure to put a smile on your face.
This fantastic playground for mountain bikers is located around 60 kilometers west of Durango. The paths are mostly flowing and not too difficult, which is why not only experienced bikers but also mountain bike newcomers get their money's worth.
It starts at Phil's World Trailhead. Since all routes are driven clockwise, there is no oncoming traffic - at least if everyone follows the rules. The round consists of several loops. The program includes: Coco Race, Lemon Head, Abajo, Stinky Spring and Poquito Burrito. And as a grand finale, the legendary Rib Cage Trail awaits you, the flagship of this area.
The good thing is: If you want more or less, you can adapt the route as you wish. Simply add a round or leave one or more out. Either way, you're guaranteed a fun singletrack experience, we promise!
