Le Refuge de Chalin is an unguarded refuge in a spectacular location in the Dents du Midi. The refuge is essentially a very rustic cabin, don't expect fondue or espresso! What the shelter loses in hospitality, it makes up in location. An excellent ridge walk takes you to a high point at the head of Chalin, overlooking the Chalin Glacier and Pointe Nevé.
