If you already know me you’ll know that I’ll try to get out on adventures as much as possible. I saw this little hike being organized by my fellow adventurer Matt Sharp and I wanted in on the action. It is only a short hike overall with minimal elevation; however it is great to get out of the house for at least a little bit, plus to meet new people that are likeminded. In total we managed to gather 15 people for this hike! How incredible! The start point for this hike is at the Yorkshire Dales National Park Visitor Centre. This is a paid parking place, plus they have facilities here too. https://goo.gl/maps/4D1N2W4phcRupjy68 It’s a relatively small loop only about 5 miles long and it shouldn’t take you more than 2 hours. From the car park you’ll be heading down to the river and will be following this for a while. Once you reach the suspension bridge, you’ll need to head left, but don’t forget to capture some photos on the bridge or even the stepping stones before heading further. Just after half way you’ll be able to find yourself at a public house. We used this opportunity to get ourselves a beverage and testing out the drone before heading further. On your way back you’ll go through small wooded areas. But mostly you’ll find yourselves on a path through a field. If you’re lucky like we were, you’ll meet a couple of donkeys on the way that might just be friendly enough some strokes. Soon you’ll find yourself back in Grassington and back at the car park. Most of our group were expecting a longer hike and had enough energy to keep going. We directed this energy towards getting lunch in Grassington and heading back to Leeds for some pool! The route is very straight forward and not strenuous at all. A nice little walk for a weekend – easily done with family and children. And dogs of course. Here’s some of the gear I was wearing on the hike for your inspiration: Salomon CrossHike GORE-TEX Women's Walking Shoes: https://www.sportsshoes.com/product/sal4616/salomon-crosshike-gore~tex-women's-walking-shoe-~-ss22/ Salomon GORE-TEX Infinium Windstopper Women's Hooded Jacket (The hood on this jacket is absolutely lifesaver during windy weather as it is very snug and keeps on even in crazy wind! ) https://www.sportsshoes.com/product/sal5070/salomon-gore~tex-infinium-windstopper-women's-hooded-jacket-~-aw21/ Sealskinz warm weather waterproof socks: https://www.sportsshoes.com/product/sea182/sealskinz-waterproof-warm-weather-ankle-socks-with-hydrostop-~-ss22/#sku-sea182 Montane walking trousers: (Some of the comfiest and warmest trousers I’ve owned) https://www.sportsshoes.com/product/mon914/montane-ineo-pro-women%27s-pants-%28regular-leg%29/#sku-mon914 Credit for last 4 pictures goes to Matt Sharp

A perfect short walk taking in long reaching views along Wharfedale . Excellent cafe in Hebden as well as many cafe/pub optionsin Grassington.
