This route was planned by komoot.
Rain, rain, rain - nice hike with an umbrella on the way - Bettelküchenpfad and subsequent stop at the Wirtshaus Am Bahnhof.
After we had read such bad reviews of this premium trail and could hardly believe it because the Danube valley is so beautiful, we had to see for ourselves whether there was anything to it. That's why we stubbornly walked the well-marked lap and were shocked. If you can't enjoy that and appreciate what you can discover and see here, you have to be blind to the beauty of nature. And he doesn't like peace and quiet... There are few places in the Danube valley that are so lonely and quiet. We also hoped to find the rare but beautiful Beaker and found it ourselves. But there was also a lot to see and marvel at, and even to learn for yourself. We were thrilled and will come back when it's actually too hot to hike. It will be just right for our four-legged companion in the dense beech forests.
Nice tour with almost perfect hiking weather, only on the Danube there was drizzle for 5 minutes. A highlight of many was the chamois that crouched on a rock and looked at me in amazement. I was certainly no less astonished. It was new to me that there are chamois in the upper Danube valley. Otherwise very varied circular hike with some beautiful views of the Danube valley.
Parking lot on the right after the community center, no fees. The tour runs mainly on forest roads, only at the end it turns into a dirt track. This allows you to get very involved with nature (you don't have to concentrate as much on the path). At this time of year you can always see the rocks on the opposite side. The Raintal has great rock formations. On the last part you can see the Danube and Gutenstein Castle.
Drive to Gutenstein by car, park at the community center. Then walk the premium trail "Bettelküchenfährte", a tour of the "DonauFelsenLäufe". Very well prepared and signposted trails throughout, as befits a premium hiking trail. Ideal temperatures but no sun for almost the entire route, it only came out in the last kilometer.
It was a really nice tour and I was completely alone except for two people with a dog, even though it was a very nice day.
The hike was taken from the tour book "Donau-Felsen-Läufe". The booklet is available from TouristInfo Sigmaringen: www.sigmaringen.de
After 2 weeks of extreme heat, I wanted to go on this gentle tour today, on this slightly cooler but muggy transitional day. Almost exclusively in the forest, in the shade you are out and about here. Started at the fire station in Gutenstein, there are free parking spaces there. The tour is so well signposted that you don't need any navigation. If you go wrong here, it's your own fault. At first there were many places to rest, but then there were none except for a few. Perfect paths, but many mosquitoes and horseflies forced me to stop and prepare myself with the appropriate chemical club.
