The Trail des Écrins is the event that attracts the most people during this event. Over a course of 34 kilometers and 2,200 meters of elevation gain, it offers an incomparable trail experience. 80% of the route takes place at an altitude of more than 2,000 meters.

The adventure begins with a demanding climb towards the Col de Vallouise which culminates at 2,600 meters. Along the way, the Pissette waterfalls offer an idyllic landscape. Take the opportunity to admire the surroundings and thus manage your energy well.

This is followed by the passage through the Partias nature reserve, with the Col de la Trancoulette as a remarkable point at 2,200 meters. The last uphill effort is then located at 2,500 meters, at the Col de la Pisse.

The descent, punctuated by technical single tracks and gravel tracks, alternates between mineral and green terrain. The route finally leads to the banks of the Gyr which guide the runners towards the finish in Vallouise.

Plateau de Chambran

Highlight • Natural Monument

The Chambran plateau, known as Chambran, has the label of natural park and thus constitutes an area of ecological, fauna and flora interest. This status means it is strongly protected. The landscapes there are fantastic. If it is the starting point for many hikes to the peaks, it is also enough to be a superb hiking destination.
