The 8-person loop leads from Chateau Cormatin to the old bridge Pont de Pierre to the Moulin de Besseuil and to Chassignoles Chateau and the church ruins of St. Hippolyte, over the Löss places La Vendee to Saint Gengoux le National with its old washhouse and interesting church and then to just before Culles le Roches (which we skipped). Then we leisurely went down the railway line and a large viaduct to Le Bois Sec and continued along the railway line Chalon --> Macon down to the church of Malay and back to the starting point of Cormatin. A Burgundian journey into the past, small domains and lost places. We enjoyed the approaching thunderstorm in the church of Malay and overall - after many days with > 30 degrees - we stayed dry.
