Supposedly, this is one of the favorite places of former US President Barack Obama. The hike to the waterfall leads through a beautiful jungle. Interesting is the partly strange vegetation. The path can be relatively greasy.

Trail Reviews

Marc
April 17, 2025, Manoa Fall Trail

Today, another easy trail near Honolulu to a waterfall. Even though it rained last night, there were quite a few hikers out and about. As soon as we reached the top, it started to rain again, but like... a downpour like we're not used to in Germany. The hike back through the jungle in the pouring rain was magnificent; the people here are used to it; they're soaking wet, yet cheerful.

Great hike, definitely recommended! The path through the jungle offers a strong contrast to the city of Honolulu right next door.

Very short hike but they are setting up to film Aquaman 2 here so we wanted to see the sets.

A very beautiful, green path through the tropical rainforest. The path is very rocky and slippery in places. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes.
