On this varied tour you dive deep into the Lechtal Alps. With just under 30 kilometers, you can complete the tour in a relaxed manner in a few hours and see some highlights. From the valley station of the Jöchelspitzbahn you have an excellent panoramic view over the Lech Valley. The route also takes you to Madau, a romantic mountain village in a narrow side valley.
The starting point of the route is in Elbigenalp. From here you follow the Lechtalradweg upstream to Bach, from where it goes uphill to the district of Benglerwald, which you can reach via a small dirt road. Here is the Jöchelspitzbahn, which transports skiers in winter and hikers and paragliders in summer to an altitude of over 1,800 meters. Then it goes back down into the Lech Valley, where you make your way to Madau. Madau is embedded in the imposing Lechtal Alps in a small valley. It is worth taking a break here and stopping off at the mountain inn. When you are recovered, you drive down into the Lech Valley and follow the Lechradweg downstream until you come back to Elbigenalp.
You can reach the start and end point by bus. There are also parking lots where you can park your car.
