Trail Reviews

August 14, 2024, Etherow explore

Evening walk from the car park and visitor centre, around to Keg Lake and back via a detour up through the woods to see golden hour through the trees. Back round to the weir and followed the river back to the car park. Mostly flat with a couple of uphill explores and off the path wanderings. Mostly quiet when we did this and an empty car park (5:30pm) Pay machine is around the back of the cafe by the way, not in the car park itself. Accepts coins and Ringo. Note: There was a fire in one of the old buildings near the car park, so the walk back was blocked off on the other side. We had to backtrack a bit and go along the same part back along the path, as opposed to carrying on the circular walk back.
