Cadgwith

Highlight • Settlement

Cadgwith is a small fishing village forgotten by the 21st century, situated on the eastern side of the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall. Fishermen still push their boats up the beach to catch shellfish and wet fish when the weather permits.

May 22, 2024, Hike circular southern most land point in GB

Coastal walk and inland return with places of interest along the way.

The hike leads from the small fishing village of Cadgwith to the southernmost point of England, Lizard Point. In Cadgwith there is a small bay with fishing boats. The path leads along the steep coast. In parts it is just a footpath. Not only is the view of the sea and the cliffs breathtaking, the many plants and animals are also worth seeing. Lizard Point is less worth seeing. In Cadgwith you can stay and eat very well at the Cadgwith Cove Inn.
