This route was planned by komoot.
Message to myself: ON shoes are NOT hiking shoes 🥾!!! The route has been classified as "moderately difficult" by Komoot - this definitely only applies until the end of the marked route (yellow-painted stones 🪨)! After that, it's a wild trek😜 through the mountain range, or rather along the stones lying there, back towards the 🧭 viewpoint. Fortunately, the peat paths🍀 cushion the hard impacts a bit... As a thank you, you get wet feet🦶😅 We say: Thank you☺️ for what we consider to be a very beautiful hike with some very difficult sections. Recommended direction: first head towards the 🧭 "Pilgrim Path". 🙋♂️
Today we experienced the full range of Ireland's weather. We started with sun and a great view, then came the wind (strength 8-9) and then the fog. When we were down again the sun shone again. Actually we wanted to walk the cliff path, but then the gusts of wind came and we avoided the pilgrim path, at the highest point you would have the opportunity to walk the One Mans Pass. To do this, you need a clear view and no gusts of wind. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=one+man%27s+pass+slieve+league&docid=607989836783097928&mid=FEB805B71FC1DFF92EF1FEB805B71FC1DFF92EF1&view=detail&FORM=VIRE At the Slieve League, the cliffs drop 600 m into the sea.
This tour was unique. The weather was perfect. I met Brian, a Scotsman, pretty early on and rode the tour with him. The "One Man Pass" is manageable but also spectacular. It's definitely a repeat tour.
@Deleted User Thank you. Ireland has beautiful places.. 🥰
