Farnham Castle Keep

Highlight • Historical Site

Farnham Castle stands proudly on the crest of a hill overlooking the town. The motte and shell keep castle was founded in 1138 and then rebuilt in the late 12th and early 13th centuries. These days, you can explore the ruins of the keep, which is owned by English Heritage, for free. Other parts of the castle are privately-owned, however.
