The hike to Fløyen starts right in the city center. A few hundred meters from the fish market, past the Fløibanen valley station, the path leads you up the mountain in large dangling ways. Due to the snake-shaped route, the incline on this hike is limited. Therefore, this hike is one of the easiest. But if you're not that good on foot, you don't have to miss the beautiful view from Fløyen, but you can easily take the mountain railway up. At the top of the mountain station there is, among other things, a large viewing platform and a restaurant, from where you have a great view of the city center, the offshore islands and the sea.
About a kilometer from this tourist summit destination, the actual summit of Fløyen is located in the forest. With a bit of luck, you can enjoy the view all by yourself before you return to the hiking trail and hike back down to the center.
