Today you walk a varied clog path that shows you the most beautiful and special places around Wageningen in about 13 kilometers. The start and end point is Fletcher Hotel de Wageningsche Berg.
Are you curious about today's route exactly? Then climb up to your first, literal, Highlight, so you can see it with your own eyes. From this vantage point you have a beautiful view over the Rhine valley. There is a bench from where you can enjoy this view. But don't sit still too long, because you still have a lot of kilometers ahead of you. And you don't want to miss it.
Get on your feet quickly to visit the colorful Belmonte Arboretum, where you will marvel at a unique flora and fauna.
It doesn't stop with the colorful plants and flowers, because a little later you pass picking garden de Bosrand. Before you leave, check whether the garden is open. If so, then you can settle down here with the goods you brought with you, or you can order something small in the tea garden.
If you have absorbed all the scents and colors, you can go another 5 kilometers. If you need a break again afterwards, that's not a problem. There is a cozy bench waiting for you from where you have an idyllic view over the vast landscapes.
About 3.5 kilometers before the end point you walk through Wijngaard Wagenings Wijngoed. You can visit the vineyard, but it is wise to plan in advance. Enjoy a well-deserved glass of wine, but take into account the last few kilometers you still have to walk… Maybe they will be extra fun!
Those who still have the strength, climb up the Wageningse Berg just before the finish, towards a burial mound. This dates from no less than 2500-2000 BC. The hills would be used by the so-called Bell Beaker people. Members of the people were buried with their faces to the east and their heads to the south.
When you have sufficiently marveled at the Bell Beaker People, you make the last meters to the end point. Here you can settle down on one of the terraces for a well-deserved snack and drink.
Along the way you will come across several catering establishments for a break. Check in advance whether they are open during your trip. If not, there are more than enough beautiful picnic spots along the way.
Those who come by car park at Fletcher Hotel de Wageningsche Berg and those who take the bus get off at the stop of the same name.

The Wageningse Engpad, what a fantastic route!
We started with a cappuccino at the Fletcher Hotel De Wageningse Berg, and from there we walked through the Belmonte Arboretum, home to a vast array of trees and shrubs, and with beautiful views of the river landscape.
The route also passed through a beautiful allotment …

A very beautiful route to walk. For some, the many asphalt on the route may be less interesting, but you walk along nice gardens, over beautiful forest paths and beautiful views. …
