A pleasant itinerary that from Pila di Bossico allows you to reach the top of Monte Colombina.
Starting from the locality of Pila, where there is a car park and also a small picnic area with tables and drinking water, continue on the path forwarding towards the pine forest and, at the second crossroads, follow the signs on the left for the Pozza d'Ast (Chiesetta dei fallen). After a short but rather steep climb, you arrive at a crossroads: continuing on the main path, called "via Fosca", the path continues in the shade between meadows and woods; keeping to the right instead, the path runs through sunny meadows. After a few hundred metres, the two paths join up in a single road which finally leads to Pozza d'Ast, where it is possible to stop in a clearing with a large stone and wood canopy, equipped with tables and benches, a barbecue and a cool source of water. In the clearing, surrounded by majestic fir and beech trees, there is a small church built in 1973 and dedicated to the fallen of Bossico in all wars and a body of water called Pozza d'Ast.
From the locality of Pozza d'Ast, take the uphill path until you reach, after about 1.8 kilometres, the hill of San Fermo (1,250 m) where there is also a picnic area with a large equipped wooden shed with tables, benches and barbecues, a pool and a small nineteenth-century church renovated in 1902.
From Colle San Fermo, near the puddle, continue passing behind the church and taking the path keeping to the left. After a few meters keep right to go up the path that leads to the top of Monte Colombina (1,458 m), where in May 1951 an iron cross weighing seven quintals and eight and a half meters high was placed. On the summit of this mountain a geolabio-orientation plate has been installed with the names of the many mountains that can be admired thanks to the spectacular 360° view. In the structure of the geolabe there is a small drawer which contains a summit diary in which you can leave a dedication.
This last stretch of trail, from Colle San Fermo to the top of Monte Colombina, is about 800 meters long, with 200 meters of positive difference in height, and takes about half an hour.

Lake Iseo. From its summit you can
enjoy a spectacular view of
Sebino, the Orobie, the Presolana
and the most distant reliefs of Adamello.
Mount Colombina is a relief
modest in altitude but certainly not in
the emotions given to the many
enthusiasts who decide to climb
to the summit.
