Kalajan kierros – Southern Konnevesi National Park

Crystal-clear water and smooth glacial rocks, forests rich in herbs and high cliffs - not only ospreys and wild lake trout feel at home here in Southern Konnevesi National Park. You can also relax wonderfully in the pristine nature on foot or by boat. How about a lap along the five-kilometer Kalajan Kierros Trail, for example?

The hike starts at the Kalaja parking lot. The first kilometer leads over a well-developed gravel path to the Vuori-Kalaja barbecue hut. A short or longer break is worthwhile here if you would like to sit comfortably by the campfire. From here the path begins to become a little more challenging, rooty and uneven. On the Kalajanvuori summit, however, your effort will be rewarded with fantastic views over the forested landscape. All you have to do is climb back down to the parking lot.
