Hiking
In the Garnitzenklamm you hike past emerald-green, roaring streams and fascinating and colorful stone and rock formations - created by the gigantic forces of nature. The tour starts at the Klammwirt in Möderndorf. From there the route takes you directly to the gorge.
A grandiose and rough landscape opens up to you along the way, accompanied by the murmur of the Garnitzenbach. He has cut deep into the rock, polished it brightly and thus gives you a fascinating insight into the interior of the mountains and the rocks. The Geotrail shows you what forces are at work here and how the rocks influence the formation of the gorge.
The first half of the way you hike uphill, after almost four kilometers you have reached the highest point, the rest of the way is relaxed. From the St. Urbani chapel you have a great view down into the gorge you have just crossed. Finally, you can let yourself be pampered with traditional dishes at the Klammwirt.

Very very nice!
We walked to the 5th bridge. Until then, it was an experience for me and my nerves again😅😂
But you can do it ... even with a fear of heights
Those who take children with them should be experienced hikers! We do not recommend dogs because there are some passages where …

Up to the fifth crossing (bridge 5) partly easily accessible on exposed paths with safety ropes. Beware of slippery rock in wet weather. Impressive ways. The way back from bridge 5 again steeply over a forest path leaving the gorge up the mountain. Later on wide forest paths and narrow forest paths to the …
