August 7, 2021,Klostertal-Weg – Kloster Weltenburg Itinerario ad anello da Kelheim
The walk is very beautiful and not particularly challenging except for a few points where some attention is required. The crossing of the Danube in front of the abbey costs 1,5€. The worst aspect of all were the countless mosquitoes that literally ate me alive. Bring your anti-mosquito cream!
A dream in this weather, only both paths are not suitable for strollers or similar, in Weltenburg you have to pay 1.50 to cross

This time we skipped the Walhalla and first walked along the Danube in the direction of Weltenburg. just before the pebble beach, it then goes up a somewhat steeper trail. due to the rain it was quite slippery and wet at times. After a befitting stop at the Weltenburg monastery, we then walked back on the other side via the …

June 30, 2024,The storm never came
So that we didn't spend the whole weekend just making our new apartment more comfortable, a somewhat longer tour was planned today. Since the weather was no longer forecast to be dry from midday onwards, the alarm went off promptly at 7. This time the starting point was even at an easily accessible parking lot. We walked right along the …

Today, I managed to go on another hike with my ex-colleague, Tom, who is still working. Our destination was Weltenburg Monastery. We started in Kehlheim and right from the start, we walked along beautiful forest paths on the right bank of the Danube up to the Wieserkreuz. The view from there, vertically above the Danube, is simply stunning.
We continued …

A very nice tour today. With great views of the Danube and the rock formations on the Danube. Crossed once with the boat ferry. Please inquire beforehand whether it drives, but in the summer months it is always there

It's quite windy, but also spring-like today.

Loop 27 starts in Kelheim, first along the Danube. A beautiful scenic section. Behind the orchard it goes up to run over the Danube Gorge to Weltenburg.

Opposite the monastery I stand again at the river. But zills, with which one could translate, are not to be seen today. It doesn't matter, the …

Today we went out for a hike with our work colleagues. We walked from Kelheim to Weltenburg, where we stopped for lunch. Then we went to the Wieser Kreuz, where I think one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the region is located. From there you have a wonderful view towards the Danube Gorge and the monastery, which is located …
