This tour takes you to the promising summit of the Windburg near Ostenohe. A fairly relaxed hike awaits you, which does not place any great physical demands on you. The hike also offers you the opportunity to stop off at the Igelwirt in Schloßberg and enjoy the great view from the terrace.
You can get to the starting point of the hike by taking the train to Schnaittach train station and then taking the 342 bus to Ostenohe. First you cross the drag lift, which takes skiers up the slope in the winter months and mountain bikers in the summer. Then it goes alternately through forests and over meadows and fields up to Windburg. The last stretch up to the summit requires surefootedness and concentration. You will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the vastness of the landscape. Then it goes back in the direction ofosterohe. Shortly before you reach the starting point at the hiking car park, there is a bench on the left of the path with a wonderful view, which is great for a final rest.
